Big names dominate $10k Stud Championship entering Day 3
If the final 14 players of the $10k No Limit 2-7 Lowball Championship was considered one of the finest collections of poker talent ever assembled than the final 14 in the $10k Seven Card Stud Championship is not very far behind! With names like Chad Brown, Sorel Mizzi, John Hennigan, ElkY, Jason Mercier, Men “The Master” Nguyen, and Ville Wahlbeck still in contention for the title.
Hennigan and chip-leader Steven Landfish will take sizable chip-leads into the final day of the event, with Landfish sitting on 780k chips and Hennigan controlling 688k. The next closest player on the leader-board, Bertrand “ElkY” Grosspellier has a mere 336k!
There is a huge difference between being the 14th place finisher and the winner of the event, as the next player eliminated will receive a check for $24,043, while the winner will pocket $331,639 in prize-money.
