Kim Nguyen –who was somehow named Stephanie Nguyen on Sunday???—just missed becoming the first women to win an open World Series of Poker tournament on Monday when she fell to Darren Woods in heads-up play at the $2,500 6-Max Limit Holdem tournament on Monday.

Nguyen’s runner-up finish marks the second time at the 2011 WSOP that a female player has made it to heads-up play but failed to come away with the victory –earlier in the 2011 WSOP it was Maria Ho coming up just short against Allen Bari in the $5k NLHE tournament.

On the other hand Woods becomes the third bracelet winner of the 2011 WSOP to hail from the United Kingdom, joining the likes of Jake Cody and Matt Perrins. After his victory Woods had one thing on his mind: SLEEP! “I really want to go party and celebrate but I might go fall asleep instead. It’s amazing to win… I got absolutely no sleep last night. Some crazy woman knocked at the door at eight in the morning because she knocked at the wrong door and woke me up and I went to bed at four last night.”

Here is a look at the final table payouts from the $2,500 6-Max Limit Holdem tournament:

1. Darren Woods – $213,431

2. Kim Nguyen – $131,900

3. Samuel Golbuff – $85,616

4. Alexander Kuzmin – $57,236

5. Andrey Zaichenko – $39,317

6. Gabriel Nassif – $27,720

7. Richard Lyndaker – $20,053

8. Scott Stanko – $20,053

9. Jay Pinkussohn – $14,866
