The prestigious World Series of Poker is continuing in Las Vegas this week – the world’s biggest and most exclusive live poker tournament. Thousands of poker players have descended on the desert city to chance their hand at winning a gold WSOP bracelet. We can update you here on all of the recent winners who have succeeded in doing just that.

Gold Bracelet Winners

The UK’s Benny Glaser grabbed a gold bracelet for himself at last year’s tournament and has added another to his list of achievements this year. He won the Event #26: $1,500 Omaha Hi-Low in Vegas last week, which ended late on Saturday night. Last year he walked away with $136,215 at the $1,500 2-7 Triple Draw event, and this time around he beat a final table that included Phil Hui (fourth), Brandon Shack-Harris (fifth), and Max Pescatori (8th). Coming top of a pool of 934 players, he won a huge cash out of $244,103 as well as a gold bracelet.

In Event #25, the $2,500 No-Limit Hold’em tournament, Michael Gagliano captured a WSOP gold bracelet and a prize pool of $448,463 for coming top of the 1,045-player field. He’s a well-known grinder in the online poker world, and this live prize will be an excellent boost for his bankroll.

Californian poker professional Danny Le emerged victorious from the 2016 WSOP Event #22: $1500 Limit Hold’em on Thursday night. He was stunned and elated by his WSOP gold bracelet win – “I finally got a gold bracelet,” Le said. “I can’t believe it.” He successfully bested a 665-player field filled with some of the best limit Texas Hold’em players across the world. Le earned $188,815 for the win, marking the biggest prizepool of his career.

Spanish poker player Cesar Garcia returned on Saturday for a final day of play, and prevailed over his opponents after just 20 hands of play.  His main Bulgarian rival didn’t improve on the turn and Garcia easily vaulted into the lead to claim a WSOP gold bracelet for himself.

Ian Johns has already added a second gold bracelet to his poker prize collection in 2016 after he won the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event for a cash prize of $212,604, and he’s now searching for another, his third overall, with 10 players remaining in the $10,000 Limit Hold’em Championship. Johns has proven himself to be remarkably proficient in tournament environments as well as smaller cash games.
