Phil IveyThe greatest poker player on earth was unable to overcome the minimal chips he had to work with, and despite approaching 20 million chips before the dinner break, the small margin for error he was faced with was too much to overcome.

Ivey lost in the brutal way that every poker player knows: AK vs. AQ. Ivey moved all-in from Under the Gun for 6.45 million, and was called by monster-stack Darvin Moon: Ivey showed AK and Moon AQ, giving Ivey a glimmer of hope.
Unfortunately, the flop came down Q66 (perhaps proving online poker is not rigged!) and the turn and river offered no help.

Before the dinner break Ivey was moving up the leader-board, but after dinner just could not get anything going: His final hand was a microcosm of his day: sometimes, no matter how good you are, you just can’t get anything going.
