Poker pro and GoDaddy Girl Vanessa Rousso is amongst the final 8 in the $10k No Limit Holdem Heads-Up Championship –a format that seems to agree with her having finished in 2nd place in the 2009 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship.

Rousso’s is three wins away from capturing the title and her first WSOP bracelet, not to mention the hefty $625 in first-place prize-money. However, the road will not be easy with players like the red-hot Faraz “The Toilet” Jaka, High stakes online poker pro Alexander Kostritsyn, Wild-Card poker pro Kido Pham, up and coming poker pro Jason Somerville, French poker pro Ludovic Lacay, Ayaz Mahmood who from 2007-2008 had 10 WSOP cashes, and the unknown player Ernst Schmejkal from Germany.

Rousso’s first match will be against the least known player at the table Ernst Schmejkal, with the other Elite 8 matchups being:

* Jason Somerville vs. Kido Pham
* Faraz Jaka vs. Ayaz Mahmood
* Alexander Kostritsyn vs. Ludovic Lacay

With over $1.3 million in career tournament earnings Rousso is one of the most successful female poker players of all-time, and has been doing quite well in the large buy-in tournaments over the past couple of years.
