The 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event will play down to the final table today, at which point the final 9 players –8 of whom will become millionaires—will go on an extended vacation until early November, when they will once again pack their bags for the Rio to declare the 2010 WSOP Main Event Champion.

Poker fans still have a number of big name players to root for in the field of 27, with Jason Senti, Scott Clements, David Baker, Mike Mizrachi, Adam Levy and Hasan Habib are all still in contention for the final table.

One name missing from the list was Theo Jorgensen, who entered Day 7 as the chip-leader, but found himself on the rail when his AK lost to John Racener’s AQ –a feeling we all know to well as poker players!

Two players managed to pull away from the rest of the field on Day 7: Joseph Cheong and his 24,490,000 chip-stack, and Soi Nguyen and his 23,100,000 chip-stack. Both players have sizeable leads on the rest of the field; their nearest competitor is Pascal LeFrancois –who won a bracelet earlier in the 2010 WSOP—with 15,780,000 chips.

But as Jason Senti, currently in 4th place, knows; anything is possible! Senti took a 970k stack into day 7, and ended the day with 13,550,000 chips!
