Today will mark the first time during the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event where the entire field will be in action together. After four starting days –Day’s 1a-1d—nd two Day 2’s, Day 3 will still see 2,557 hopeful poker players take to the felt at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

With seven former Main Event champions still in the hunt, including last year’s winner Joe Cada, Day 3 of the WSOP will feature some serious star-power; not to mention the top players still alive who haven’t won the Main Event like Daniel Negreanu.

A couple of celebrities are still in contention as well; the first, Gabe Kaplan, is no surprise as he’s now known as much for his poker as he is for starring in Welcome Back Kotter. The second celeb still with chips is UFC announced Bruce Buffer; both players have slightly below average chip-stacks, but have plenty of room to maneuver.

The chip-leader going into Day 3 is David Assouline from Canada with 387k chips. However, nobody has pulled away from the rest of the field as of yet, and it’s still anyone’s tournament at this point –A small group of players pulling away from the field is something I expect to see happen on Day 3.
