McClung dominates Day 4 of EPT San Remo Main Event

For the second straight day, Canadian poker pro Chris McClung ended the day as the chip-leader at the 2011 PokerStars.it EPT San Remo Main Event. Not only has McClung ended the day as the chip-leader, but once again he is the overwhelming chip-leader as his 3.1 million chips are over 1 million more than his nearest competitor.

McClung has had an impressive 2011 tournament campaign up to this point, having already pocketed nearly $250k in prize-money, but he is likely looking at the EPT San Remo as an opportunity to put an exclamation point on his year.

It took seven hours for the 64 players who sat down on Day 4 in San Remo to be pared down to the final three tables of just 24 players. There will be some serious poker resumes joining McClung on Day 5 as the remaining 24 players play-down to the final table of eight; amongst the remaining players are well known poker pros like Johnny Lodden, Kevin MacPhee, Lex Veldhuis, Alessio Isaia, Mike McDonald, and Barny Boatman. Other notables still in the hunt include Daniel Neilson, recent WSOPE Champion Elio Fox, and Jan Bendik.

Here are the top 10 chip-counts heading into Wednesday’s action at the EPT San Remo Main Event:

1. Chris McClung – 3,148,000

2. Daniel Neilson – 2,011,000
