Ziyard leads PokerStars EPT Loutraki final table

The PokerStars European Poker Tour’s first stop in Greece will not end with the tour crowning its first repeat champion as the final table features a number of anonymous poker players. There is no telling what an EPT title could do for any of the remaining eight players’ careers which should add some major drama during the final table.

Leading the way is British poker player Zimnan Ziyard, who will take a near 1 million chip-lead into Sunday’s action. That said, the chips are dispersed fairly equally around the table sans the short-stack Andras Kovacs who is on complete life support with 210k chips.

Here is a look at the seating assignments and chip counts from the final table of the EPT Loutraki:

* Seat 1: Ioannis Taramas – 1,755,000

* Seat 2: Charalampos Kapernopoulos – 749,000

* Seat 3: Pierre Mothes – 1,073,000

* Seat 4: Hauke Heseding – 1,660,000

* Seat 5: Florian Schleps – 850,000

* Seat 6: Mario Puccini – 1,077,000

* Seat 7: Andras Kovacs – 210,000

* Seat 8: Zimnan Ziyard – 2,771,000

As an afterthought: If Charalampos Kapernopoulos manages to pull off a win in his home-country I will refer to him simply as “Seat 2” in tomorrow’s write-up! At 23 total letters (11 in his first name and 12 in the last) THAT is a really tough name! And I thought some of the French names from the Casino en Ligne were tough.
