Ladbrokes have today announced the dates for this years Irish Poker Festival, which will be held at the Irish National Events Centre, in Killarney.

Ladbrokes will be looking to build on the success from last year when a record number of people were in attendance, which saw a massive 633 players taking part in the main event. They hope and expect that this years event will be even bigger and better, and it is all due to start on Thursday 29th September with four great days planned culminating on Sunday 2nd October. The main event has a buy-in of €550 and comes with a guaranteed prizepool of €250,000, though that may well rise further.

Last years main event winner was Lars Torngren from Sweden, who took home €75,000 from a prizepool that was in excess of €300,000. A spokesperson for Ladbrokes Poker commented on this years event by saying, “We are very excited to be bringing the Irish Poker Festival back to Killarney for a fourth year. It is truly a remarkable event that brings all of our customers together for a four day poker fest! The event seems like it is a long way off, but places disappear quickly so customers should start qualifying now!”

Places will be filled quickly and there is sure to be a large contingent from the Scandinavian countries, as they look to follow in the footsteps of last years winner, and there is sure to be a good mix of locals and online players too. Qualifiers are already up and running where you can win packages to the four day festival or seats to the main event.
