PartyPoker Is On Its Way To Becoming The Top Online Poker Site Th

PartyPoker has been through a lot of ups and downs. A decade ago, PartyPoker was considered one of the top online poker websites in the world. However, it suffered a big hit when the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) became an official law in 2006. This forced the company to suspend operations in the United States, which was a major blow as the U.S market brought in a significant chunk of revenue for partypoker.

This started a period of decline for the online poker operator. Unlike other poker sites, PartyPoker did not focus on expanding in other markets and kept a low profile which ended up hurting the brand in the long run.

PartyPoker Changes In 2017 Pleases Poker Players

Partypoker decided in 2016 that it was time for a brand makeover and the online poker operator launched a mission to become one of the top online poker websites in the world and take back its market share. That decision brought about a number of changes in 2017 and it looks like most of these changes have worked in favor of partypoker and its players.

Early this year, the site underwent a change in management. The company then rolled out some major changes to both their online and live poker strategies. The company had a specific strategy to take player feedback, analyze the feedback and then make changes based on player requests and preferences. These changes have gone down well with partypoker players and have turned partypoker into one of the most player friendly online poker websites in 2017.

For online development, the first change was the announcement of the richest PowerFest in the site’s history. With $11 million in guaranteed prize money, the tournament brought in hundreds of new players to the site. This was just the opening salvo as the site announced its $5,300 MILLIONS Online tournament. The tournament attracted 1,047 entrants and generated a $5,135,000 prize pool.

These big events were just icing on the cake as PartyPoker increased the number of daily and weekly events. The company also instituted some changes to their online poker client which made the poker room a lot more user-friendly. The biggest change was the introduction of a number of new features that contribute to a better online playing experience. PartyPoker also improved its loyalty program that rewarded consistent players and high rollers with high rakebacks and VIP bonuses, unlike other sites.

Besides the online component, PartyPoker rolled out its live global poker tour, PartyPoker LIVE. The main event was PartyPoker MILLIONS, which featured the same $5,000 buy-in. PartyPoker LIVE events were scheduled across the world and poker players were happy to be a part of the new live offering.

EGR: Poker Operator Of The Year

Positive player feedback is what every poker operator is after and partypoker players have been very vocal about their positive online gaming experience. But the icing on the cake in 2017 for partypoker is upsetting PokerStars, the number one poker website in the world and claiming the 2017 Poker Operator of the Year award at the EGR Operator Awards. PokerStars had won the award for three consecutive years but partypoker’ s push along with positive player feedback proves that partypoker is on track to becoming the number one online poker website that players prefer.
