Breaking: New rumor PokerStars Full Tilt deal is done

PokerStars versus Full TiltThere was a report earlier today in Poker Player Newspaper by Wendeen Eolis where she stated the deal between Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars and the US Department of Justice has come to a head, and that an announcement would be forthcoming soon.

Eolis stated that more details could not be revealed at this time, citing that Poker Player Newspaper had already gone to print, but did say “Without giving away the identity of a consistently impeccable resource, it is now safe to say announcements for public dissemination are in the works. At this point I am ready to go out on a limb; FTP customers will see their monies well in time for Christmas shopping,” in the short news brief that appeared on the PokerPlayerNewspaper.com website.

While there have been plenty of rumors since PokerStars first started getting tossed around as a potential suitor for the flailing Full Tilt Poker back in April, Eolis is not usually one to jump the gun and her background working as an advisor for two former New York Governors, as well as her standing in the poker community makes this one of the better sources we have seen thus far.

Hopefully we will not be stuck in wait-and-see mode for weeks and months as has been the case anytime a rumored deal has been struck in the past, beginning with the failed efforts of Groupe Bernard Tapie. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information comes to light.
