Professional poker player Chris Moorman has just signed a deal with 888 Poker to become the newest ambassador for the popular gambling company. Moorman, from Brighton, is widely viewed as one of the best online poker tournament players of all-time. He has so far accumulated almost $13.4 million in online poker winnings, putting him at the very top of the online all-time money listings in the competitive poker world.

Approximately $175,000 of his impressive total stems from his play at 888 Poker where he goes under the pseudonym “WhatWudJSay.” However, his alias has changed to “888moorman” to reflect his new site ambassador status. Moorman also excels in the live poker arena, his live cashes add up to more than $4.1 million and include a World Poker Tour title and a World Series of Poker Europe Main Event runner-up finish.

When asked about his decision to sign on as an ambassador for 888 Poker, Chris Moorman said: “888 is doing big things and really is working hard to expand their reach in poker. Things like sponsoring the WSOP and the Super High Roller Bowl have shown they are committed to their growth of the brand and I can’t wait to see what they have coming up in the future”.

Moorman also praised the tournament structure of 888, commenting that the site appears to have more standard speed tournaments compared to many of its top class  poker rivals offering more turbo structures. Moorman plans to stream some of the final tables he’ll be reaching on the streaming site Twitch, giving fans an insight into how the poker star plays his game.

The online poker industry views 888’s signing of Moorman as a major coup for the ambitious site and the move further strengthens its already impressive list of poker ambassadors. Moorman joins forces with Kara Scott, and three-time WSOP bracelet winner Dominik Nitsche as the site’s sponsored professional poker stars.

Right now, Moorman is in Las Vegas for the 2016 WSOP where he is aiming to claim his first gold bracelet. He has one cash to him name, this coming in the Colossus II event, and will no doubt have several more by the time the Series draws to a close this summer.
