Poker News BoyEvery day the poker world is inundated with more news, reports, and gossip, than any of us can read. At PokerNewsBoy.com we understand that there are only so many hours in the day, and only so much time you can set aside to follow all of the stories taking place, so we have come up with the Daily Grind as a solution. The Daily Grind will make sure you don’t miss any of the more obscure poker stories, wrapping up the day in poker in one neat, concise, column.

Today I’ll take a look at a couple of new signings in the poker world, as well as the schedule for the NBC Heads-Up Poker Championship.

Negreanu chooses……

This week poker pro Daniel Negreanu appeared on the Bravo reality TV show, Millionaire Matchmaker. Negreanu’s appearance was the highest rated episode in the show’s history, pulling in a 1.4 share according to preliminary reports.

I won’t ruin it for those of you that want to see the episode: You can check out the episode by visiting BravoTV.com and checking out their schedule for the numerous re-airings of the show.

Blom’s Heater turns into a Cooler the back to a heater

Viktor “Isildur1” Blom fame stems from his rollercoaster ride at the high-stakes poker tables, so it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that the Team PokerStars Pro found himself up over 44 million in the first week of January. It also wasn’t much of a surprise when Blom started giving a lot of that profit back, dropping some $500,000 in a single day, as this is his MO at the high-stakes poker tables.

That being said, Blom turned it around fairly quickly and booked another big win this weekend, once again topping the $4 million mark for earnings in 2013 –and we still have over 11 months to go in the year!
