Full TiltA distressing E-Mail regarding the Full Tilt Poker remission process being handled by the Garden City Group (GCG) has gone viral in the poker community, and has likely been the cause of a very sleepless night for about 200 poker players and untold numbers of poker affiliates.

According to Poker Players Alliance Vice President of Player Relations Rich Muny, he received this E-Mail from someone who received it from the Garden City Group:

The following persons are excluded from the Remission process and are not eligible for payment from the Full Tilt Poker (“FTP”) Fund:

i. A past or present employee of FTP or any of its past or present affiliates;

ii. A past or present vendor of FTP that received compensation through FTP players’ accounts;

iii. A past or present Team Full Tilt player;

iv. A past or present shareholder of FTP, Tiltware LLC, Kolyma Corporation A.V.V., Pocket Kings Ltd., Pocket Kings Consulting Ltd., Filco Ltd., Vantage Ltd., Ranston Ltd., Mail Media Ltd., or Full Tilt Poker Ltd.;

v. A past or present officer or director of FTP, Tiltware LLC, Kolyma Corporation A.V.V., Pocket Kings Ltd., Pocket Kings Consulting Ltd., Filco Ltd., Vantage Ltd., Ranston Ltd., Mail Media Ltd., or Full Tilt Poker Ltd. or any of their past or present affiliates;

vi. A defendant in any civil action or a claimant in any forfeiture action brought by the Department of Justice related to the violations alleged in this action, or any related action (or any of his or her affiliates, assigns, heirs, distributees, spouses, parents, children, or controlled entities); and

vii. A person who, as of the Petition filing deadline, has been the subject of criminal charges related to the violations alleged in this action, or any related action (or any of his or her affiliates, assigns, heirs, distributees, spouses, parents, children, or controlled entities).

The alleged E-Mail is unsubstantiated at this point, but it does seem legitimate, and also well within the realm of what can reasonably be expected in terms of potential exclusion lists.

While affiliates had been planning on being left out in the cold (PokerStars was not under any obligation to pay, and did not pay, foreign poker affiliates who were owed money by Full Tilt Poker when they purchased the site from the DOJ and assumed its non-US debts) it is item iii that is causing the most consternation: A past or present Team Full Tilt player;

What players are hoping for is this wording is in regards to Team Full Tilt Poker Pros (the Howard lederers, Gus Hansen’s, and Tom Dwan’s of the site) and not the some 200 players who were “Red Pros” at the site like Melanie Weisner, Brian Hastings, and even someone like James McManus.
