fulltiltpoker soldAccording to the website Subject: Poker, a deal has been struck between Groupe Bernard Tapie and the US Department of Justice that would see the DOJ take on the responsibility of repaying US players, while Groupe Bernard Tapie would take over the site’s current obligations to players from the rest of the world.

According to an author who goes by the name of “Diamond Flush” at Subject: Poker (who seems to have an inside source to everything Full Tilt) an E-Mail was circulated to Full Tilt Poker shareholders explaining the terms of the deal, and what the next step in the sale of Full Tilt Poker will be.

You can read a copy of the E-Mail at the following link on the Subject: Poker website.

There are still a number of questions remaining even if the reporting turns out to be accurate; not least of which will be the amount of repayment (will it be dollar for dollar or a lesser amount); will players have their FTP Points and other non-monetary assets converted into cash; and what will the timetable for repayment be.

The entire deal is contingent upon 2/3 of Full Tilt Poker shareholders approving the deal –which seems like a foregone conclusion, but considering the amount of money a few principle owners were able to pocket this may not be as clear-cut a decision as it appears on the surface.

Stay tuned for official statements from Full Tilt Poker, Groupe Bernard Tapie, and the US DOJ – Hopefully…
