Like sports or movies the weekends can be either really slow, or create some attention grabbing headlines. Fortunately this past weekend was more of the latter than the former as two of poker’s brightest stars made the final three at the PokerStars EPT Campione Main Event; Isildur1 and Isaac Haxton started their heads-up, $1 million freezeout match; along with the typical news and notes coming from the world of poker: All of which you’ll find below!

Isildur1 wearing down Isaac Haxton

After two four-hour sessions Viktor “Isildur1” Blom holds a commanding lead over Isaac Haxton in the pair’s $1,000,000 freezeout Heads-Up No Limit Holdem match. Blom ended the first day (Saturday) with a near $200,000 lead and despite watching Haxton erase the entire deficit on Sunday, the online phenom and Team PokerStars Pro managed to make his own comeback and end the second day of the match with a $287,000 lead over Haxton.
