Poker eCheck Sites

poker sites accepting echecksIn recent times, it has become increasingly difficult for online poker players, especially for US players, to deposit onto their favorite poker sites. However, thanks to the increasingly popular deposit option of eChecks, players have had much more success depositing.

An eCheck, short for electronic check, is nearly the same exact item as a paper check someone writes in person. The only difference is that an eCheck is essentially written over the Internet. Poker sites will usually ask for the account number and routing number of the checking account. Obviously, it is not necessary to include those numbers when writing a paper check, as they are already printed on the checks. Once the information is sent to the poker site, the money is instantly credited to your account and retrieved from the checking account within several days. It is a great deposit option for people who may not be able to deposit via any other option.

If used responsibly, depositing via eCheck is a great, safe way to fund your online poker playing within minutes. Some of the more well-known poker sites that allow eChecks as a deposit option include Pokerstars, Full Tilt Poker, Lock Poker and UB.

However, just because the money is made instantly available by poker sites doesn’t mean that eCheck’s are not subject to the same security measures that a paper check is. For anyone depositing via eCheck, make sure that your checking account has enough money in it to process the transaction before you deposit. Otherwise, the bank from which your checking account is based will charge you the full amount, in addition to a costly overdraft fee. Additionally, the poker site will take back the deposited money and may suspend your playing privileges or even ban you from playing at the site altogether if it becomes a recurring problem.
