Poker pros shine in Sunday’s online tournaments
A huge lineup of major poker tournaments took place across the online poker world this past Sunday, including the opening event of the Full Tilt Poker FTOPS XXIII, and of course the always impressive Sunday Million at PokerStars. Throughout the day it was the poker pros who were dominating at the tables, with no less four well-known poker pros coming out on top in one tournament or another. Additionally, a number of other pros made the final table of these same events.
PokerStars Sunday Million
Another Sunday Million meant another 7,000 player field for PokerStars, pushing the total prize-pool of the tournament to $1,142,600. When the dust settled it was German poker pro Matthias Neu, who has been racking-up big online wins in his career, with over $1.4 million in Full Tilt earnings, and an unknown amount on PokerStars as he has opted-out of the Bluff database.

PokerStars Sunday 2nd Chance
The $200+15 buy-in 2nd Chance on PokerStars drew a field of 1,323 players, creating a prize-pool of $264,600, and it was one of poker’s elite tournament players, Dan Smith, who took the top prize.

PokerStars Bigger $162
A third PokerStars tournament on Sunday saw another well-known player come out on top, as Andrey Pateychuk took down the top prize of the $150+12 PokerStars Bigger $162. Smith bested a field of 1,691 players and cut a four-way deal at the final table to just edge out the runner-up, “rojorulez”, by a $102.

Full Tilt Poker FTOPS XXIII Event #1
The opening event of the FTOPS XXIII took place this Sunday and British poker pro Chris Brammer started the series off with a bang, winning nearly $130k on his way to collecting a FTOPS win. The red-hot Ana Marquez (a recent winner at the xxx in Las Vegas) joined Brammer at the final table, finishing in 7th place.
The tournament drew 3,503 entrants, easily surpassing the $500k guarantee, with the prize-pool topping-off at $700,600.
