Titan Poker slashes cash game rake

It’s $10 Haircut time over at Titan Poker, as the site announced it would be running a huge promotion: Slashing its cash-game rake by 50% at most tables, while at the same time changing high-stakes cash-game rake collection to a fixed amount of just $.10 per hand.

According to the press release:

As part of its poker Rake Break promotion, Titan Poker has decreased the maximum rake cap by 50% at fixed limit tables on all games throughout the day. This reduction has also gone into effect all day long for No Limit Hold’em games with blinds up to $0.05/$0.10.

In addition, no rake is being collected for cash games with stakes of $25/$50 and above. Instead, there will be a fixed fee of $0.10 charged per hand, with the standard consideration of “no flop no drop.”

Basically, a player who is contributing $.10 per hand to the rake will see their win-rate increase by $5 per 100 hands during the promotion. A heads-up player who is contributing upwards of $.50 per hand to the rake will be making a whopping $25 more per hour!

The move comes on the heels of Party Poker running a rake-free tournament promotion, where the site added all tournament fees to the prize-pool, and it would appear that both sites are attempting to pick-up as much of the wayward Full Tilt Poker player base that is still unable to play at the beleaguered site.

Titan Poker is part of the massive iPoker Network –the largest poker network in the world—and is one of the network’s flagship sites.
