The PokerNewsBoy Awards have come to a close and now it’s time to look at the winners chosen by you the fans. Here is a look at the winners in the PokerNewsBoy Player Awards Categories:

·    Best Newcomer (Player) – Winner: Jake Cody (46% of the vote) – Runner-up: XBlink

The UK poker pro was a runaway winner in this category.

·    Best High Stakes Player –Winner: Tie between Daniel ‘jungleman12’ Cates and Phil Ivey (27% of the vote)

Here is one category where the fans got it spot on in my opinion.

·    Best Tournament Player –Winner: Sorel Mizzi (31.58% of the vote) – Runner-up: Daniel Negreanu

Mizzi narrowly edged out the more experienced Negreanu in this category.

·    Best Mid Stakes Grinder – Winner: BadBoyPlayaz (59% of the vote) – Runner-up: Randy ‘nanonoko’ Lew

The PokerSpace.com crew pushed BadBoyPlayaz to an easy victory in this category.

·    Hottest Poker Chick – Winner: Vanessa Rousso (28.57% of the vote) – Runner-up: Tie between Sarah Underwood and Kara Scott

·    PNB Player of the Year (Decided by the PNB Team) – Winner: Sorel Mizzi

Team PNB has decided that Sorel Mizzi is the winner of the first PNB Player of the Year award.
