UB Poker pro Annie Duke engaged

Via her Twitter account –because how else do you communicate in this day and age—Annie Duke let the world know she was now engaged to longtime beau Joe Reitman. The actor, producer and director has made appearances in a number of television shows as well as having bit parts in movies over the years, perhaps most notable were his roles in The Perfect Storm, American Pie 2, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Reitman began dating Duke shortly after his divorce from another poker player, Shannon Elizabeth, and it now appears that Reitman has popped the question, considering Annie Duke’s Twitter feed on Christmas Day simply stated: “I said yes!” and also contained a link to a photo of the two with Duke showing off her latest piece of jewelry on the appropriate finger.

Reitman has become a bit of a poker junkie himself over the years –not really surprising considering he was married to Shannon Elizabeth and then started dating Annie Duke—and has played in two World Series of Poker, and has three small cashes to his credit in 2006 and 2009. Reitman was also able to capture a prestigious online poker title when he won the UB.com $1 million guarantee back in 2006, pocketing $266,000.

No word yet on a date for the wedding, but my guess is that one poker superstar who will be absent from the festivities will be Daniel Negreanu.
