PokerStars currently stands atop the pinnacle of the online poker market; sponsors some of the most popular live poker tournament tours around the globe including the European Poker Tour, Latin American Poker Tour, Asian Pacific Poker Tour, and the North American Poker Tour; and now they are moving into the poker blog business having acquired three of the most prominent and popular poker blogs on the Internet.

The chosen trio of poker blogs is:

PokerPages.com: Pokerpages.com was the forerunner of online poker portals, and was one of THE places to go for your poker education, news, and insight for many years. The site ceased operation in late 2009, but with the financial backing of PokerStars it’s quite likely PokerPages will return to prominence with a few minor tweaks.

PlayWinningPoker.com: PlayWinningPoker.com is one of the best strategy sites/blogs on the Internet. Focusing on the realm of online poker this was a no-brainer acquisition for PokerStars.

Poker-Babes.com: Besides the perfect name, poker-babes.com also offers a variety of insights, interviews, and content off the beaten path. The site has more of a fun-type feel to it, but still offers great content.

One thing is for certain; the owners of these sites just made a pretty penny from their deal with PokerStars!
