2014 Aussie Millions schedule revealed

aussie millionsThe 2014 Aussie Millions schedule was revealed by the Crown Casino on Tuesday with a few interesting changes (with everything from moves to additions and subtractions) from last year’s schedule.

The biggest change is the paring down of the schedule as a whole, which will see the 28 events held in 2013 slashed to just 20 in 2014. A number of tournaments struggled to pull in players over the past few years, and it seems that the Aussie Millions has decided to keep only the popular tournaments on the schedule.

Another big change has to do with the High-Roller events, specifically, when the $100k Challenge and $250k Challenge tournaments are held. Typically the $100k event takes place during Day 1a of the Main Event (which allowed players to play Day 1b or Day 1c and still participate in both tournaments), however, this year the Aussie Millions will wait until Day 4 of the Main Event to run the $100k Challenge, which will theoretically be when the field is whittled down to just a couple dozen players. Furthermore, the $250k will wait until the Main Event concludes before starting, giving every player the chance to play, which is extremely important in a tournament that draws less than 20 people –in 2013 several Main Event final table participants would have likely played in the $250k Challenge without the scheduling conflict.

Here is a look at the complete 2014 Aussie Millions schedule:
