wsop regional championshipThe World Series of Poker Circuit Series was in Hammond this past week and the turnout for the Main Event was impressive to say the least. The WSOPC Hammond shattered the attendance record for a WSOPC Main Event as 1,615 decided to take their shot at what would be one of the biggest WSOPC prize-pools in recent memory.

Amazingly, the 2011 stop in Hammond saw two tournaments set attendance records as event #1 started the tournament series in Hammond with a record 3,001 players register, making it the largest field for any WSOPC event, and the Main Event finished the tournament series by setting the WSOPC Main Event attendance record.

The field had plenty of big names, with players like former UB Poker Pro Mark “POKERHO” Kroon, poker coach and author Chris “Fox” Wallace, and recent WSOP bracelet winner Aaron Steury amongst the final 20 players who took their seats on the final day of the tournament. Steury would make the deepest run of the bunch, but despite entering heads-up play with a 2-to-1 chip-lead he finished as the bridesmaid to Bob Chow, who picked up his first major tournament win and by far his biggest payday to date, collecting nearly $400k for the win.

Here is a look at the final table payouts for the WSOPC Hammond Main Event:

1. Bob Chow — $393,584

2. Aaron Steury — $243,818

3. Erik Roussakis — $183,991

4. Eric Crain — $139,815

5. Dave Neff — $106,447

6. Joe Hebda — $81,774

7. Drazen Ilich — $63,680

8. Dan V. Harrington — $50,051

9. Shawn Quinn — $39,947
