PokerNewsBoy MascotEvery day the poker world is inundated with more news, reports, and gossip, than any of us can read. At PokerNewsBoy.com we understand that there are only so many hours in the day, and only so much time you can set aside to follow all of the stories taking place, so we have come up with the Daily Grind as a solution. The Daily Grind will make sure you don’t miss any of the more obscure poker stories, wrapping up the day in poker in one neat, concise, column.

Today I’ll take a look at a number of stories including a shakeup at QuadJacks.com, Tony G’s harsh words for Toby Lewis, and jail time for two men accused in a poker sextortion case –yeah, that’s a real story.

Tony G berates Toby Lewis at Party Poker Big Game VII

Ralph Perry, Devilfish, Phil Hellmuth, Andrew Robl, and now Toby Lewis can add his name to the list of poker players Tony G has publicly mocked and berated to varying degrees. The latest incident happened at the Party Poker Big Game VII when Lewis declined to straddle, causing Tony G to launch into one of his infamous tirades:

“What are you doing? What’s going on? There are no scammers here. You’re a disgrace. You should get your chips, get up and leave.” Tony then turned to Party Poker’s Warren Lush who was on hand and continued his rant, “He’s a disgrace. Where do you get these jerks? Where are these nits from?” Tony then went back to work on a visibly embarrassed Lewis and fired a few parting shots at his sponsor IveyPoker.com, “What is IveyPoker? Is it another scam? Ivey is a gambler; you can’t put that logo on.”

Agent Marco now at the helm of QuadJacks.com

A visit to the QuadJacks.com homepage is now met with a simple message from Marco Valerio: “Today I assumed control of QuadJacks.com and all of its assets. The site, which has been mostly inactive since I left earlier this year, will relaunch over the next few days, with new content and a brand new staff…” Marco left QuadJacks a few months ago and landed at the GlobalPokerIndex.com, but now he is back at QuadJacks, but this time as the captain of the ship.

QuadJacks.com was a little-known poker media website before Black Friday and their marathon podcast put them on the map, but since that time the site has been on a very bumpy ride as owner Zac “ZekDay” Hart tried to position the site as the #1 poker podcast, which included some rather underhanded methods according to hosts at other poker podcasts –earning Zac the nickname “Snake in the Grass” from DonkDown.com’s hosts at the time, Bryan Micon, Brandon Gerson, and Todd Witteles. You can do a search for Zac Hart, QuadJacks, or Snake in the Grass at www.pokerfraudalert.com for more on this.

Zac was later accused of more underhanded moves by former QuadJacks contributor Thomas “SrslySirius” Keeling, who is now the Multimedia Producer for Bluff Magazine and Bluff.com, and was roundly criticized on poker forums and social media. Since then QuadJacks has been a ghost town, as has been Zac’s previously active Twitter account.

Look for a quick turnaround from AgentMarco who is well-liked and respected in the poker world
