Daily Grind: Fantasy Poker drafts and the Asia Millions

Poker News BoyEvery day the poker world is inundated with more news, reports, and gossip, than any of us can read. At PokerNewsBoy.com we understand that there are only so many hours in the day, and only so much time you can set aside to follow all of the stories taking place, so we have come up with the Daily Grind as a solution. The Daily Grind will make sure you don’t miss any of the more obscure poker stories, wrapping up the day in poker in one neat, concise, column.

Today I’ll take a look at a number of stories including some fantasy poker drafts for the upcoming World Series of Poker and the growing list of entrants for the $130k buy-in Asia Millions tournament slated for next week.

Free Fantasy Poker on FCP

If you have five minutes and like to win stuff then I highly recommend heading over to Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu’s website FullContactPoker.com and filling out a WSOP fantasy draft team. You’ll find all the information you need right here(http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/wsop2013/step1.php) and it literally takes only a few minutes.

Daniel went over the prizes that will be given away in this recent vlog: http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/daniel-negreanu/video-blog.php?movieID=27

My Fantasy Team for PokerForums.org

I was involved in my own fantasy draft at www.pokerforums.org, and I put together what I consider to be a very strong team, so I will be expecting these 210 players to participate in every tournament at this year’s WSOP or risk years and years of bad press 

2. David “Bakes” Baker

3. Steve O’Dwyer

4. John Juanda

5. Ole Schemon

Asia Million tournament up to 50 confirmed entrants

I suppose a $140k buy-in tournament is also a fantasy for me, so this entry fits in with the overall theme so far. According to PokerNews.com, the Asia Millions tournament that will take place on June 5th (going head-to-head with the WSOP) already has 50 confirmed entries, which means some people’s WSOP fantasy teams will be hurting if they chose John Juanda, Gus Hansen, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Igor Kurganov, Erik Seidel, Greg Merson, Joseph Cheong, Mike Watson, Tobias Reinkemeier, Jonathan Duhamel, or Isaac Haxton, as they are likely to miss at least the first week of the WSOP.
