The channel has helped Polk gain a lot of publicity in the poker community. Polk recently decided to launch another YouTube channel and dedicate its content to the cryptocurrency industry.

Polk Targets Cryptocurrency Industry

Cryptocurrency is currently one of the hottest markets out there right now. This is mostly because of the boom created by Bitcoin – the most popular cryptocurrency in the world. The value of Bitcoin skyrocketed in 2017 and went close to the $20,000 market which sent investors all over the world into a frenzy. The value of Bitcoin has declined significantly during the last 3 weeks but that hasn’t turned investors away.

Polk is a fan of taking chances and following new trends. This is why he decided to launch a new YouTube channel called ‘DougPolkCrypto’ and will address the current happenings in the cryptocurrency industry and also caution investors about fraudulent and unethical cryptocurrency websites.

Polk’s cryptocurrency channel actually has done phenomenally well since its launch and beat his poker channel record. DougPolkCrypto reached the coveted 100,000 subscriber mark in just one month which is testament to both cryptocurrencies and Polk’s popularity.  Polk has preferred to use his YouTube channel to give his subscribers advice on which streamers and cryptocurrencies to avoid. Subscribers who are looking to find advice and insight on how Polk goes about his cryptocurrency investments and the choices he makes, will not find a lot of information. However, Polk has shared some insights in this regard via his Twitter account.

Polk Highlights Red Flags To Subscriber Base

Polk has shared some great insight and tips that cryptocurrency investors can keep in mind before going ahead with their investments. He warns investors to look for red flags before shortlisting any website or trader. He points out that legitimate cryptocurrencies publish white papers that outline everything that they desire to achieve. These white papers also give in-depth information so that potential buyers can know how the cryptocurrency works.

If this information is not present regarding a new cryptocurrency – it’s a red flag. Another red flag is when streamers dump a lot of information most of which is misinformation directed at pumping up a cryptocurrency. They usually don’t refer to the white paper and will also try to avoid saying anything solid about the cryptocurrency. Polk warns against such streamers, while specifically mentioning the names of such streams to give his subscribers a heads up.

The new channel continues to build Doug Polk’s personal brand and strengthens his social media presence across multiple platforms.
