Play was called to a halt on Tuesday night at the EPT Barcelona Main Event when Magan Tier was eliminated in 25th place, leaving just 24 players in the running for the massive €850,000 that will be awarded to the winner of the tournament.

With the total prize-pool of the tournament surpassing €4 million thanks to the 811 entrants, the EPT Barcelona will award the second largest prize in Spanish poker history, with only the 2010 EPT Grand Final that took place in Madrid offering a larger first-place prize.

Amongst the players still in the hunt are two Team PokerStars Pros including Player of the Year contender Eugene Katchalov, as well as Matthias de Muelder from Belgium, both of whom landed in the Top 10 chip-counts by the end of the night. Some other big names that managed to bag up some chips on Tuesday evening were Sigurd Eskeland, Max Martinez (the leading Loose Cannon on Season 2 of the PokerStars Big Game), Dragan Kostic, and Saar Wilf.

Here is a look at the chip-leaders entering Day 4 of the five-day tournament:

1. Tomeu Gomila — 2,547,000

2. Raul Mestre — 2,363,000

3. Saar Wilf — 1,999,000

4. Massimilano Martinez — 1,795,000

5. Marcos Fernandez — 1,699,000

6. Eugene Katchalov — 1,452,000

7. Matthias De Meulder — 1,376,000

8. Jose Miguel Esteban Nieto — 1,169,000

9. Javier Contreras — 1,156,000

10. Evgeny Zaytsev — 1,095,000

The remaining players will be back at the poker tables around Noon local time, and will play-down to the final table of eight players before calling it a night.
