For all of you that are too busy to follow every story in the poker world, our weekly series, The Friday Wrap, is here to help you! So without any more fanfare, here is a look at all of the stories from the world of poker that you may have missed over the past week.
ZOOM Poker getting good reviews
It looks as though PokerStars will soon be launching their version of Rush Poker, called ZOOM Poker. The Beta version of ZOOM Poker is getting good reviews from the online community, and with very few complaints and smooth-sailing thus far, the official REAL-MONEY launch of Zoom Poker can only be a matter of time.
Party Poker Premier League V roster coming together
This week Party Poker announced three more players that will be participating in the Party Poker Premier League V $125,000 buy-in Main Event: Tom “durrrr” Dwan, Daniel “jungleman12” Cates, and Phil Laak. The trio joins the already announced roster that includes Patrik Antonius, Tony G, Luke “FullFlush” Schwartz, Vanessa Selbst, Sam Trickett, and Andy Frankenberger.
Superstar Showdown returns to PokerStars
After putting the Superstar Showdown heads-up matches on the shelf last June (thanks Black Friday) PokerStars is relaunching the promotion this Sunday with a rematch of the first-ever Superstar Showdown match played between Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and Isaac Haxton.
You can check out our complete preview of the match as well as a quick history of the Superstar Showdown HERE.
Erick Lindgren = Degen?
Black Friday has really turned the poker world on its head, and perhaps no story is coming farther out of leftfield for the casual poker fan than Erick Lindgren owing money to just about everyone in the gambling world. How bad are Lindgren’s debts? Well, let’s just say President Obama may want to get another bailout ready if the reports from 2+2 are even halfway accurate!
Here is our full write-up on the E-Dog situation.

Daniel Negreanu’s weekly rant takes aim at Epic Poker
Surprise, surprise! Daniel Negreanu devoted a healthy portion of his weekly video blog to the downfall of the Epic Poker League. While Negreanu’s ire for Annie Duke is widely known, it turns out that Negreanu has a similar disdain for Jeffrey Pollack (just not with as much history).
