Gus Hanson on a heater at Full Tilt Poker
Gus Hansen starting to rebound on Full Tilt Poker
After being down $3.6 million for 2010 Gus Hansen has gone on a massive heater over the past two weeks winning over $1.25 million in that time-frame. Still confronted with $2.2 million in losses on the year, Hansen has credited his recent success to winning his first WSOP bracelet at the WSOPE.
Hansen has been beating up on the other top player at the PLO tables on Full Tilt Poker lately, and with his style of play he is easily capable of a $5 million swing in either direction for the remainder of 2010. Hansen is coming off of a 2009 campaign that saw the Danish poker pro drop over $5 million at the Full Tilt Poker tables, which means he was approaching -$9 million before his recent up-tick, and regardless of his bankroll few players can withstand a $10 million downswing at the poker tables.
Hansen’s struggles this year pale in comparison to Brian Townsend/sbrugby who is down over $4 million in 2010 to this point. Townsend is looking at his second straight losing year, and Townsend’s struggles have been magnified by his transgressions with Full Tilt Poker’s terms and conditions which he has violated twice; once for multi-accounting and a second violation for data-mining.
