tom-dwanIn a deal that is seemingly a few years behind schedule, Full Tilt Poker officially welcomed Tom “durrrr” Dwan as its newest poker professional. According to PokerNews.com, the announcement came in the midst of the World Series of Poker final table –perhaps with no horses left in the race Full Tilt decided to steal a few headlines with the signing of online poker’s biggest name?

Dwan has been a fixture at the Full Tilt tables for years now, and was one of the select few poker superstars without an online poker-room sponsorship deal.  The move by Full Tilt will give them a strong presence with the young poker players who idealize Dwan: A segment of the poker world that Full Tilt’s current roster really doesn’t represent very well.

Full Tilt which has added only two names to its roster since its inception five-years ago –Gus Hansen and Patrik Antonius—does not hand out this type of deal all that often. Dwan will join other Full Tilt superstars Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel, Mike Matusow, Jennifer Harman, Chris Ferguson, John Juanda, Phil Gordon, Erick Lindgren, Andy Bloch, Allen Cunningham, and Gus Hansen and Patrik Antonius.

PokerNews.com is also reporting that Dwan will not only be sporting Full Tilt apparel at the major poker stops around the globe, but his fans will be able to get tips and insights from the man himself at the free to use, Full Tilt Poker Academy: and will be able to follow the phenom’s exploits at his Full Tilt Poker blog.
