Big Gains by Party Poker

Party poker was awarded the Poker Operator of the Year award at the 2017 EGR operator awards. Coincidentally, the company has shown a huge increase in their revenues in the same year. From results released, PartyPoker and the parent company GVC holdings have posted strong year-over-year increases in revenue not only in poker but in all their operations.

This increase in revenue was recorded in the first year the company has owned bwin.party. GVC acquired the company in February 2016 and this was taken to be a huge success by the company’s CEO Kenneth Alexander.

GVC success in 2017 shows that the company has achieved material value from bwin.party’s acquisition. GVC announced huge gains for the first half of 2017 which surrounded measures within the PartyPoker brand and the trend seems to have continued. The summed revenue for GVC went to €925.6 million and this represented an increase of 17% year over year. This figure has been calculated as if bwin.party was acquired at the beginning of 2016.

There are plenty of gaming activities that contributed to the growth of the company’s growth. Revenue from its betting labels accounted for €663.8 million and this is a 20% increase when you compare it to 2016’s revenue.

The GVC’s games include PartyPoker and party casino and they collectively made revenue which was 12% more than 2016 and the amount was €228.7 million. Partypoker has been successful because the company has focused on investing in their products. These investments are focused on marketing and in live events which have assisted in transforming the business. These successes have also been attributed the ‘that chap’ who was bwin party’s former Head of Finance who was appointed as the Head of PartyPoker after bwin’s acquisition.

As a US poker player, you need not look farther if you are looking for an online poker site that’s still in the US. With such revenues and plans to expand, you can only be optimistic about Party Poker’s future in the US.
