Poker is a game of constant motion in that chips fly, moves are made, pots are taken down, and bad beats shatter dreams on the river. There are winners and losers in the game of poker. This stands true on the felt and in the news.

Huge Traffic Spike for Merge Network

Recapping the poker news of the week, the big winner in the online poker world was clearly the Brisbane based Merge Poker Network, who reported an amazing 160% increase in cash game traffic, partially at the expense of the Cake Network. The Merge Network jump in traffic only cost Cake a 16% decline, which means that the exodus of Cake Poker stalwarts Sportsbook, PlayersOnly Poker, and SuperBook from Cake to Merge generated excitement well beyond that of the active Cake Poker player base. Players can take advantage of the huge traffic spike at the Merge Network and grab a 100% up to $600 bonus from Carbon Poker
