While not in the same league in terms if the money involved as his $2.5 million payday in the $250k Super-Duper-High-Roller tournament at the Aussie Million in January, or even his 3rd place finish in the $100k Super-High-Roller tournament at the Aussie Millions, Team Full Tilt Poker pro Erik Seidel added another trophy, along with nearly $150,000 to his resume last night at the LA Poker Classic.

Seidel bested a small field of 18 players on his way to capturing the $25k High-Roller tournament at the LA Poker Classic putting him over $3.7 million in winnings in 2011 –and we just hit March! The prize-money also moved Seidel ahead of Phil Ivey on the all-time money list kept at www.thehendonmob.com, just behind the top dog on the list Daniel Negreanu.

Seidel’s other 2011 accomplishments include a 4th place finish in the PCA High-Roller tournament –Seidel has always needed a nickname so I’m thinking “High-Roller” would work quite nicely–  and a 3rd place finish in the $5k PLO Championship at the PCA.

With just 18 players only the top three players cashed in the tournament, with the final three players cutting a deal that basically ended with a three-way chop:

1.    Erik Seidel — $144,570
2.    Darren Elias — $153,975
3.    Bertrand Grospellier — $146,055

Other entrants in the High-Roller tournament included, 2011 PCA High-Roller champion Will Molson, 2011 PCA champ Galen Hall, Team Full Tilt Poker pros Chris Ferguson and Erick Lindgren, and Richard ‘nutsinho’ Lyndaker.
