Super-User mastermind spotted at Florida poker room

The poker world is a very forgiving place, with former cheaters, card mechanics, and angle shooters often given a second-chance at redemption, but when it comes to the most infamous poker cheat in the history of the game it seems quite unlikely a second-chance will be forthcoming.

Former World Series of poker Main Event champion Russ Hamilton –the alleged ringleader and mastermind of the Super-User scandal at Ultimate Bet—is rumored to have cheated Ultimate Bet Poker patrons out of some $20 million over a span of five years. So when a thread was started on the 2+2 poker forum about Hamilton being spotted at the Gulfstream Park Casino in Florida, playing high-stakes poker, a number of people were shocked to say the least.

As 2010 WSOP Player of the Year Frank Kassela put it on his Twitter account in response to fellow poker pro Jonathan Aguiar Tweeting that he spotted Hamilton: “You gotta be brave.”

The thread revolves around two 2+2 members needling Hamilton whilst playing with him, at which point Hamilton goes off on a profanity-laced tirade. According to 2+2 member ‘Slifdog’ Hamilton said something along the lines of: “You are a f***ing d*ck… a f***ing d*ck… If you believe everything you read, you are just stupid, just a stupid f***ing d*ck. You do not know what you are talking about; you were not there. You just read about it and think you know.”
