It was another busy week in the poker world as multiple major tournaments were taking place all over the globe, as well as the usual slew of minor league tournament series. In this column we’ll get you caught up on all the action you may have missed.

WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown final table set

After four days of action, and 536 eliminations, the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown has reached the official final table of six players, with poker pro Kevin Eyster leading the way with over 5.6 million chips. Another player who will be appearing at the final table will be Jeff Madsen. Madsen made a name for himself when he won back-to-back bracelets at the WSOP during the heyday of the poker boom, but the poker pro has struggled since his last big score, which came at the Borgata Winter Open back in January of 2010.

Here is a look at the final table chip counts for the tournament:

WSOPC Cherokee

The inaugural WSOP Circuit Series stop in Cherokee, North Carolina was a rousing success with 856 entrants taking their seats for the Main Event. The winner of the tournament, John Bowman, received the $250k first-place prize, a WSOPC Ring, a seat in the $1,000,000 National Championship tournament, and a 2013 WSOP Main Event seat. Here is a look at the final table payouts from the tournament:

Ole Schemion keeps winning

Cyprus was quite the busy spot for poker in recent days. Not only did the Island nation host the International Federation of Poker’s European Nations Cup, it was also the site of the Lebanese Poker Tour Main Event, a $5,000 reentry tournament that saw 175 entrants generate a $710,000 prize-pool –not too shabby considering all of the competition for poker players in recent weeks. The first place prize of $200,000 went to a familiar name in the poker world, Ole Schemion, giving the young German his third title in the past year – Schemion won the 2012 Partouche Poker Tour Main Event in September and followed that up with a win at the Masters Classic of Poker in Amsterdam in October. In between his wins Schemion also finished 4th at the 2013 PCA High-Roller tournament, and 2nd in the Aussie Millions $5k Mix-Max event.
