The first half of the World Poker Tour Season X schedule was released this week, and along with the familiar stops at The Bicycle Casino, Foxwoods, the Borgata, and so on the tour will also be adding four new destinations, as well as a new format at the Legends of Poker tournament series in August, which will feature a re-entry format on Day 1b for players who busted out on Day 1a of the event!

Here is a look at the four new stops announced for Season X of the WPT:

* July 17 – 21, 2011: WPT Slovenia, in Portorož, Piran, Slovenia –€3,000 + €300 buy-in

* Sept 20 – Sept 24, 2011: WPT Malta, in Portomaso, St. Julian’s, Malta –€3,200+ €300 buy-in

* Nov 18 – 22, 2011: WPT Jacksonville, in Jacksonville, Florida — $3,250 + $250 buy-in

* Dec 1 – 5, 2011: WPT Prague, in Prague, Czech Republic — €3,200 + €300 buy-in

Another noticeable change on the schedule is the continued reduction of many of the Main Event buy-ins as the WPT continues to move away from the $10,000 and $15,000 buy-in tournaments that began to dominate the tour up until last year. With most of the newer tournaments featuring buy-ins of around $3,500, and the more established tournaments remaining at $10,000 –in some cases being lowered to $10k or even further as is the case with the Legends of Poker tournament and the Borgata Poker Open.
