Daniel Negreanu may have won $1,000,000 in prize-money and moved ahead of Phil Ivey on the all-time money list, but the second place finish in the PokerStars Super-High-Roller tournament taking place at the PCA is one trophy I think Kid Poker would like to have on his mantle.

Negreanu entered the final table in second place on the leader-board trailing only Nick Schulman, and held the chip lead for a considerable portion of the tournament. Until Eugene Katchalov caught a lot of good cards and built up a huge chip lead over Negreanu when the tournament reached heads-up play.

Here is a look at the payouts for the PCA Super-High-Roller tournament which attracted 38 participants despite the enormous $100,000 buy-in:

1.    Eugene Katchalov — 1,500,000
2.    Daniel Negreanu  — 1,000,000
3.    Bryn Kenney — 643,000
4.    Nick Schulman — 400,000
5.    Humberto Brenes — 200,000

Further adding to the spectacle of the tournament was Isildur1’s identity being revealed during the dinner break of the Super-High-Roller tournament –Isildur1 IS Viktor Blom by the way.

Negreanu now leads Phil Ivey by around $250,000 on the all-time tournament money list according to, with Negreanu the first poker player to surpass the $14 million mark in career tournament earnings; an impressive number to say the least!
