888 Poker and Winamax sign November Niners

WSOP Nov 9During the height of the Poker Boom one of the biggest stories surrounding the World Series of Poker Main Event final table was which players were wearing what patches, and as the WSOP switched to the November Nine format what sites were scooping up which players for sponsorship deals. In more recent years the sponsorships have dried up a bit, but it looks like the trend is once again reversing itself in 2013, as two November Niners haves already inked sponsorship deals.

Here is a look at the chip counts for the 2013 November Nine:

1. JC Tran — 38,000,000

2. Amir Lehavot — 29,700,000

3. Marc McLaughlin — 26,525,000

4. Jay Farber — 25,975,000

5. Ryan Riess — 25,875,000

6. Sylvain Loosli — 19,600,000

7. Michiel Brummelhuis — 11,275,000

8. Mark Newhouse — 7,350,000

9. David Benefield — 6,375,000

JC Tran Signs with 888 Poker

The chip-leader of the 2013 WSOP Main Event final table also happens to be the best known and most accomplished player in the field, making JC Tran a dream scenario for sponsors. In the end it was 888 Poker that won the right to put their logo on Tran, who will take 38 million chips into the final table in November.

In a press release issued by 888 Poker JC Tran was quoted as saying:

“I am extremely excited to work with 888poker and looking forward to a great experience. I can’t wait to represent 888poker at my best and help in any way possible.”

Sylvain Loosli Signs with Winamax

Winamax the largest online poker site in France, even trumping the traffic numbers of PokerStars .fr site has gotten in on the WSOP Main Event final table signing bonanza this year, inking the lone Frenchman at the final table, Sylvain Loosli.

Loosli is a regular at the Winamax online poker tables, where he is better known for his cash-game prowess, but is also an accomplished tournament player.

Loosli will enter the final table in 6th place with just under 20 million chips, and had this to say about signing with Winamax:

“Joining the Team gives me the best possible chance of becoming world champion. With help from the rest of the team, I will be fully prepared and have the best possible chance at the final table.”

Loosli joins Gaelle Bauman (the 10th place finisher in last year’s WSOP Main Event), David Kitai (a Triple Crown winner), and Ludovic Lacay as Winamax pros.
