lock proLock Poker has added one of the top player representatives to its team, signing former Poker Royalty Director of European Operations Jim Erwood to spearhead the LockPro Team. Erwood’s role with the company is unclear at this time, but given his experience and track-record he will be a major part in both bringing on new talent and marketing that talent for Lock Poker.

“Jim has a wealth of knowledge, passion, dedication and a very deep understanding of the Pro/Room relationship,” says Jennifer Larson, CEO of Lock. “He has the fierce and fresh entrepreneurial spirit that makes for a very passionate person and a perfect fit for Lock. Jim is exactly what I was looking for to take LockPRO to the next level!”

“The LockPRO team is one of the rare success stories in recent poker years and the opportunity to come and work with this team felt like a calling just too tempting to resist,” says Erwood. “The company has made significant strides in the industry & yet we recognize there are many more obstacles to traverse so it is vitally important the LockPRO team are supported in their hard work and efforts to spearhead the Lock Poker movement. People can expect to see exciting developments within the team including a new tier of semi-pros and a dedicated team of LockLIVE pros representing the brand on the live circuit. The challenge is to maximize our current resources, strengthen & ensure that the Lock team continues to evolve, interact and make significant and meaningful impact with the wider poker community.”

Erwood is a 1998 graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University where he earned BA Honors degree in Business Sport & Recreation. Erwood has worked as a licensed FIFA sports agent, negotiating contracts for some of soccer’s biggest stars before joining Poker Royalty in 2008. Erwood’s time with Poker Royalty allows him to see things from the viewpoint of both the player and the industry, which should further enhance Team Lock Poker.

The current crop of Lock Poker sponsored pros are among some of the biggest names in the game, so Erwood will have a lot to work with the likes of Chris Moorman, Annette Obrestad, Melanie Weisner, Mike Mizrachi, Paul Volpe, Matt Stout, Eric Lynch, and Casey Jarzabek.

In all Lock Poker has over 30 sponsored pros, 21 members of Team LockPro Elite, and 10 other players representing Team Lock Pro.
