IveyPoker preparing for 2013 launch

Posted by Steve Ruddock on Dec 15, 2012 Posted in Poker News | No Comments »

Phil Ivey doesn’t have to do very much to grab some poker headlines, basically just showing up is usually good enough to get a mention, but even still his eponymously named poker site, IveyPoker.com, has been doing a lot of PR work recently. IveyPoker just sent out a press release detailing the site’s plans for an early 2013 launch date for the free social media online poker product.

It’s still unclear how the site’s training arm will work, and how the site will operate, but one thing that is crystal clear is that IveyPoker has snatched up some of the biggest names in poker, as well as a growing roster of young talented players.

The core pros at IveyPoker.com are Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harman, Patrik Antonius, Cole South and James Dempsey. Joining this core group are seven recently named players:

* Josh Brikis – USA

* Jonathan Tamayo – USA

* Gillian Epp – CAN

* Matt Giannetti – USA

* John Eames – UK

* David Peters – USA

* Balazs Botond – HUN

In addition to the signings IveyPoker.com received some extra press this week when it was disclosed that Phil Ivey was back at the Full Tilt Poker tables under the new screen-name “polarized”.

Here is a look at the Press Release issued by Ivey Poker on Thursday:
