Andy Bloch wins Epic Poker League Pro/Am

After a fairly lengthy layoff –the break in the schedule likely involved not wanting to compete with the WSOP November Nine and the ridiculously busy European schedule in October and November– the Epic Poker League is back in action, and the EPL played host to their third Pro/Am tournament this week.

The EPL saw a marked increase in attendance from their last Pro/Am event which failed to reach the necessary number of players to cover the nine $20,000 EPL Main Event seats awarded, forcing the Epic Poker League to pony-up the extra money themselves. This time around the total number of entrants (187) not only covered the $180,000 in seats, but also provided a nice cash-prize-pool as well.

In all, 15 players cashed in the event, with the top 9 receiving seats into Wednesday’s Epic Poker League Main Event, and the top 8 finishers getting a little cash bonus as well (places 10-15 cashed in the tournament, while 9th place won a $20,000 seat but no cash).

Here is a look at the nine players who will be amongst the participants in Wednesday’s EPL Main Event:

1. Andy Bloch – $20,000 seat + $24,085

2. Ryan Schmidt – $20,000 seat +$12,040

3. Marina Baroco – $20,000 seat + $7,150

4. Chris DeMaci – $20,000 seat + $4,890

5. Chris Woodbury – $20,000 seat + $3,390

6. Tony Gargano – $20,000 seat + $2,630

7. Ben Palmer – $20,000 seat + $1,880

8. Joe Parille – $20,000 seat + $1,130

9. Dwyte Pilgrim – $20,000 seat
