Sam Grafton has bounced back into fifth place in the online UK virtual poker tournament rankings for the first time since 2013. Grafton has relentlessly performed well in recent tournaments in the virtual world and has seen himself be rewarded with a jump up in the leader-board.

Sam made his way through the $10,000 Deepstack Swordfish at 888poker for an amount of $1937, he followed up this win with another sweep when he took the Hot $44 at PokerStars for $4,446 on the exact same night. It was an excellent win for the Londoner and he re-affirmed himself as one of the most talked about players in the UK. Not only was Grafton’s crude playing skills on show during the games, he demonstrated the vocal side of his game as he loves to converse with his fellow players, somewhat beating players like Will Kassouf to the title of most talkative.

Despite his amicable character, Sam showed that on the tables he’s not so friendly, and that he is as serious as they come when it involves winning poker games. This tally of wins has seen Grafton bump up to 66th in the world table, an impressive feat for any player.

Another player who added to his win collection was Conor Beresford (1_conor_b_1) who was victorious in the $150,000 Gtd High Roller at partypoker, for a whopping $27,421. Conor is a young competitor and is currently the UK number one, he has a series of wins at this one ended up being his 124th win of his career. Only good things are on the horizon for the youngster.

Matthew Eardley (eardleym) was another winner as of late when he had a double triumph at partypoker to increase his standings to 12th in the UK, and to achieve a career best of 121st in the world. Rick Trigg (TheClaimer) a confident player from Sheffield, earned a pocket of $6901 when he came fourth in the $109 Sunday Kickoff at PokerStars.

In Ireland, things remain the same as James Noonan (Jaymo) withholds his position as the man to beat in the Irish Online poker standings. The Irishman took two tournaments in the recent weeks to further extend his lead on the second placed player, Toby Joyce (Jobytoyce) who has a bit of catching up to do if he wants to contend with the prolific Irish contender.
