The final table for the last major tournament of 2012 is now set, and what a final table it is at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Doyle Brunson Five Diamonds World Poker Classic. Leading the way into Sunday’s action will be former Five Diamonds Champion Antonio Esfandiari. Esfandiari is having a monster 2012, winning two WSOP bracelets, including the $18 million first-place prize for winning the Big One for One Drop.

Esfandiari isn’t the only big name who made the final six of the WPT Five Diamonds, as he’ll be joined by another former WPT Champion in Shawn Buchanan, and an online poker legend trying to make his first big splash in live tournaments, Andrew Lichtenberger, AKA “luckchewy”. Lichtenberger has been plugging away on the live poker trail for the better part of the past three to four years, and while he has been successful –coming up on $3 million in career tournament earnings– that one major tournament victory has eluded him.

But the real story is going to be Antonio Esfandiari. Antonio won this tournament in 2010, finished 6th in 2011, and is no at his third consecutive final table at the WPT Doyle Brunson Five Diamonds World Poker Classic! Should Antonio win this tournament he will put his 2012 tournament winnings over $20 million!

We knew the final table was going to be a star-studded at the beginning of Day 4, considering a number of big names and former champions were among the 22 remaining players vying for one of the six final table seats. Unfortunately for Brian Rast, October Niner Jeremy Ausmus, Andrew Robl, Jason Somerville, Jon Augiar, Theo Tran, Greg Mueller, and former WPT Champions Noah Schwartz, Scott Clements, Freddy Deeb, and Yevgeniy Timoshenko.

Antonio will be taking 107 Big Blinds into the final table, while the short-stack, Tom Winters, will be on a 40 Big Blind stack. Here is a look at the final table chip counts heading into Sunday’s action:

* Antonio Esfandiari – 4,310,000

* Shawn Buchanan – 3,465,000

* Andrew Lichtenberger – 2,940,000

* Thomas Winters – 1,615,000

* Jeremy Kottler – 1,515,000

* Ravi Raghavan – 1,250,000

Here is what the final six players will be playing for when they return to the Bellagio on Sunday:

* 3rd place: $483,031
