After two abysmal turnouts on Day 1a and Day 1b of the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event it looked as though Black Friday was finally making its presence felt on poker’s most prestigious tournament series. But the WSOP proved itself stronger than Black Friday by rebounding in a big way with 2,108 entrants on Day 1c, followed by a record-tying 2,802 entrants on the final starting day of the Main Event.

The total attendance of 6,865 makes the 2011 WSOP Main Event the third largest in history, trailing only the massive 2006 tournament, which drew an astounding 8,773 players, and last year’s impressive turnout of 7,319 entrants.

With a $64,531,000 prize-pool there will be plenty of money to be spread around. The money bubble will burst with 693 players remaining, and once again the WSOP Main Event will turn eight players into instant millionaires, with the winner receiving the lion’s share of the prize-pool, a whopping $8.7 million. Here is a look at the final table payouts for the 2011 WSOP Main Event:

1. $8,711,956

2. $5,430,928

3. $4,019,635

4. $3,011,661

5. $2,268,909

6. $1,720,396

7. $1,313,851

8. $1,009,910

9. $782,115

The surviving players from the four starting days will now be split into two Day 2 flights, with Day 1a and Day 1c playing on Monday, and Day 1b and Day 1d survivors playing on Tuesday – On Wednesday the entire field will finally be merged.
