Final 9 set at WSOPC Regional Championship

wsop regional championship24 poker players returned for Day 3 of the World Series of Poker Circuit Regional Championship in Hammond, Indiana yesterday looking to make the final table; unfortunately, 15 of those players would hit the rail, and not be able to play for the $525,000 in first-place prize-money that would be up for grabs on Thursday.

Gabe Patgorski was able to maintain his chip lead throughout the day and enters the final table with nearly 1 million more chips than his nearest competitor Brunson 10 member, David “DocSands” Sand.

The final table is oozing with young talent; in addition to Sands, young poker stars Shannon Shorr, Curt Kohlberg and Brandon Adams are also still in the hunt for the title, as well as Foxwoods’ Bernard Lee.

The tournament attracted a star-studded field thanks to a recent TV deal between the WSOP Circuit and VERSUS, as well as the $10,000 buy-in. additionally, each player that reached the final table will be entered into the National Championship, a freeroll tournament held at the conclusion of the WSOP Circuit season.
