Jake Cody wins WSOP $25k Heads-Up and Triple Crown

British poker pro Jake Cody has been on an absolute tear over the past year and a half, winning the EPT Deauville Main Event in January, 2010 (worth $1,213,914), the WPT London Main Event on August 2010 (worth $425,492), and yesterday the 22 year-old completed the Triple Crown by winning his first WSOP bracelet in the very prestigious $25k Heads-Up Championship (worth $851,192) –and you can throw in an UKIPT win in Nottingham in February of this year for good measure!

Cody was pitted against Gus Hansen in the semi-finals where he made quick work of the Danish poker legend –Hansen won this same event at the 2010 World Series of Poker Europe—and then squared off against Yevgeniy Timoshenko in the finals, after Timoshenko bested Eric Froehlich in the other semi-final.

Cody now joins Gavin Griffin and Roland de Wolfe as Poker Triple Crown winners –A WSOP bracelet, a WPT Main Event title, and an EPT Main Event title—and at just 22 now has over $2.6 million in career tournament earnings.
