Day 2 of the $10k Pot Limit Holdem Championship saw play halted shortly after Daniel Negreanu was eliminated in 28th place just one spot shy of cashing in the tournament. The 27 remaining players will now come back to the Rio on Sunday and jockey for position as they try to claim the $573,456 1st place prize-money as well as the coveted WSOP bracelet.

Considering this is a non-No Limit Holdem $10k Championship almost the entire field was made up of big name poker pros and amongst the remaining players are names like McLean Karr, Robert Mizrachi, Jason DeWitt, Nicholas Levi, Chris Moorman, Sam Stein, Jason Somerville, Jonathan Jaffe, Toby Lewis, Jennifer Tilly, Eric Cloutier, Noah Schwartz, Mike Matusow, Nenad Medic, and Marco Traniello.

Negreanu joined a slew of big names on the rail late in the day including PCA runner-up Chris Oliver, Sorel Mizzi, Dani “Ansky” Stern, John Juanda, Praz Bansi, Chris Bell and Todd Brunson, who all made deep runs but came up a little bit short in the tournament.

Here is a look at the Top 10 chip counts heading into Day of the tournament:

1. Stephen Chidwick — 697,000

2. Amir Lehavot — 628,000

3. McLean Karr — 593,000
