Sam Trickett leads PLO final table at WSOPE

One look at Sam Trickett’s tournament results over the past two years and it would be hard to argue that Trickett isn’t amongst the top tournament players in the world, and the young UK star is about to add to his growing list of accomplishments as he has made the final table of the €5,000 PLO Championship at the World Series of Poker Europe.

Trickett was mainly known as a cash-game player prior to winning the Party Poker World Open IV (you can try to enter the Party Poker World Open by using this Party Poker bonus code)  in 2010, despite already boasting three six-figure tournament scores including a win on the UKIPT tour in 2008, and a runner-up finish in the $5k NLHE event at the 2010 WSOP (Trickett finished 4th in this same event back in 2008). In 2011, Trickett dominated the Super-High-Roller tournaments at the Aussie Millions, winning the $100k tournament (worth $1.5 million), and finishing runner-up in the $250k tournament (worth $1.4 million).

The Team Titan Poker pro will enter the final day of play as the chip-leader, but will have to contend with a number of professional players if he wants to win his first WSOP bracelet, including 2011 November Niner Eoghan O’Dea who will enter the final table as the short-stack.

Here is a look at the seating assignments and chip counts for the remaining players in Event #3 of the 2011 WSOP Europe:

* Seat 1: Eoghan O’Dea – 115,000

* Seat 2: Ramzi Jelassi – 379,500
